What is the best winter tire and all season tire for a 420 SEL? I still have the original rims, so I would be looking for a 205/65R 15. I live in Toronto where we respectable snowfalls.

I heard about Nokian WR and Michelin Alpin. Any others that should be considered? I'm looking for the best value.

I would recommend the Dunlop Sport 5000 ..... the other tires you mentioned are didecated winter tires

I went to the tirerack site and read about the dunlop 5000. I also read about the dunlop a2. It seems the snow rating for the a2 is 6.9 and for the 5000 only 6.6. Since I'll be driving in snow, why would you recommend the 5000, which has the poorer snow rating? Also the a2 is cheaper.

The Nokian WR is not a dedicated snow tire. It's an all-weather 4 season tire.
