how soft is a W140 18" rim?

after a gentleish... kerbing (flat tyre )

front left tyre replaced.

balanced.

40 - 60 mph sligh (very) wobble on steering wheel.

no out of roundness on tyre visible

where do i start looking?

Guy

Check the run-out on the rim & possibly have the wheel re-balanced ?
You could also rotate the wheel in question to the back, and see if the wiggle disappears or is shifted.

Sorry, don't know about this particular rim, but I can tell you soft rims bend, hard rims break.
Ask any BMW owner, especially on the M cars.
