Every Mercedes I've heard of is 80lbs-ft. Your W140 should be that too, methinks.

The wheel lug nut torque spec is usually in the owner's manual ...

The MB Maintenance manual specifies 150 newton-meters in the table for job 4050 (rotating tires). I believe this converts to about 110 ft-lbs.

I stand corrected. According to the owners manual the correct torque is 110 ft. lb. (150 Nm).

110 N-m (81 ft-lbs) for all except W140.
150 N-m (110 ft-lbs) for the W140.

Anything from 80 to 110 ft/lbs is fine as long as they are all the same. What causes problems is having some at 400 and some at 10 on the same wheel. This is especially bad if you have a flat on a back road at night in the rain and your cell phone is out of range or the battery is dead. 400 ft/lbs and a 1 foot lug wrench means 400 lbs of pressure to loosen them. Also the jail time you get from killing the idoit that tighened them that way is a big pain.
I tighen mine to 80, have never had a problem with them coming loose in use, or had any problem getting them loose when I need to.

The primary reason I bought my torque wrench was for wheel bolts. I didn't feel comfortable guessing at the torque. Once I started using it, I was amazed at how little torque was needed to fasten lug nuts. I too never had a wheel-off.
