Best touring tire for 126 S-Class??

Just got a Beeeutiful Euro '81 280SE (126 Chassis) straight 6
4 speed manual... Way fun... I bought it for long drives
100 to 200 miles.. It has Meredes 16 inch rims (25 wholes
large gold star in the middle) I want to go back to either 14 or 15 inch rims and a tire that is smoooth with decent handling...

Also own a 1970 280SE with 14 inch Mercedes alloys with an E30 designation ..will these be correct...

Thanks in advance...
