Virginia Dude,

I have thought about this before and I finally have to say something.

Do you really have to have so many cars listed after you post? Its a lot to scroll each time and uses up memory space.

I really don't care what you used to own and probably others don't either. If I listed what I used to own, it would be twice as long as your list and I wouldn't want to bore anyone with it.

Can you edit it to what you own now?

The wheels and tires on my '87 300SDL are 205/65/15 with a ET 25 offset.

The wheels and tires I want to use are 225/60/16 ET 37 offset.

Here's a data point - a 15 hole wheel with a 225/55-16 tire from a 90-91 R129 will fit a W126 sedan in front but just rubs the frame in the rear. I didn't load the front suspension so I don't know if you'll have to limit the turning radius to make it work. The specifics of the wheel are 8J16H2ET34 p/n 129-400-0102. My guess is that a 7" wheel with 34mm offset will fit. The questions are - can you get the right length of bolts to make it work and will the hub of a W208? the same as the hub of a W126?

I have 225s on my SDL which scrape only with a freeway speed dip. On 6.5" 15-hole wheels.

I hear about offset but not width. I believe they go together. A 5" wide wheel will 40mm offset will fit a W126. A 9" wide wheel with 20mm offset won't.

In 88 or 89 the most or all of the W126 line went from 7x15 ET25 wheels to 6.5x15 ET21.5 wheels. I kept the wheels with the better tires when I sold the 300SE.
