There may be others, but the 8-hole alloys in 15 X 7 (ET44) were standard on the W124 Sportline models (1992-1995).
The standard rim was 15 X 6.5. |

Mercedes put the same sized wheel on a lot of different cars. In doing that they had to change the offset around a lot in order to clear steering components and/or match the fender wells.
So to accurately describe a Mercedes wheel, you also have to include the offset number. This is a number stamped on the inside of the wheel (where the brake dust collects) of the form "ETxx" or "ETxxx" where ET is followed by two or three digits. Until you tell us that ET number, we can't tell you what car the wheels were meant to fit. Ken300D

The eight hole wheels started on the 1992 400E and continued there through the 95E420. For some time they were known as 400E wheels. I thought Sportline got them in 93 and then E320 got them in 94/95. But I agree with Ken - you're got to look beyond the appearance - they're not all interchangable.

My 94 E320 has ET44 wheels. What does the "44" mean? Does a wheel have to be "44" to fit a 94 E320 or is there a range of ET's that will fit?

To answer your second question, no. It does not have to be a 44....my 15-hole stock wheels are ET48. Go figure. The best approach is to find a wheel you want first. Then post the part number along with the offset to determine if the wheel is a proper fit for your application. Or, just call Luke Hope this helps. |
