1987 560sec
time for new shoes.
car was originally equipped with 205/65vr15 mxv4 michelins. replaced them at about 50,000miles with Yokohama AVS Db. much better handling than the michs, and quieter for the first 10,000miles. then just as noisy if not noisier. tires have got about 35,000miles on them and have worn to the point where replacement would be wise. i run first production mich pilot xgt's on my 1986 560SEL. i like them on this car. but they are noisy. on my 1995 s500c, it was originally equipped with mxv4's, hated them. vague handling and noisy. replaced them last year at 23,000 miles with dunlop sp sport a2's. a great improvement. i was thinking of putting this same shoe on my 560sec, and then i saw a comparison with the bridgestone potenza re950. it looks like the winner for this horse. yes or no? all ears. |

I would say ... yes ... I really like the handling and steering response of the RE950
