Maker of MB Orignal Wheels for 211T

Got a new E320 4-Matic wagon arriving in a few weeks. I need to order a set of winter wheels and tires, and have looked at the Tire Rack offer, which is attractive, but they do not appear to ship to Europe.

I really like the standard alloys that come with the Elegance trim. In the MB catalog for alloy wheels, they go under the name Yilduz. I will get a quote, but believe my local MB shop wants about $2700 for a set of four with Michelin M+S 225/55 R16 tires.

I suppose that MB does not actually make these wheels. Does anyone know who is the actual maker, or have any other ideas on how to get them at a more reasonable price? Other suggestions welcome.

You may have a very hard time getting the exact OEM wheel from anybody but the M-B dealer.
Why don't you look at www.wheelmachine2000.de they are in Germany ( next door to you ) and have some nice wheels.

OZ in the end

New car arrived yesterday. Bought Michelin snow tires on OZ Exclusive alloys today. A local tire place in Geneva bought a stock of 10,000 OZ wheels from someone going out of business. They are selling all models at SFr. 600 per set of four, which is about 390 euros, $475. Total cost for the four wheels and tires, including balancing, etc. was SFr. 1670.

However, they do not sell via the web. While they officially only speak French, a lot of the workers appear to be Italian and Portuguese, if that helps. I doubt English or German would work.

Switzerland being Switzerland, the tire shop supplies a certificate that the alloys are homologated for the car. You then have to go along to the public auto service at some point, with the wheels on the car, and pay SFr. 70 to agree that the wheels are OK.
