LUKE - Filling Arch Gap . . .
Luke/Fellow Members: I've got a question about using the following to fill my wheel well gap --
Current Configuration: 16" AMG rims with 215/50 tires all around = 20.23" rolling diameter. Front Gap - perfect Rear Gap - could use 1/2" additional "filling" Proposed Configuration: 17" AMG rims Front Tires - 215/40 = 20.38" rolling diameter (radius add to current is neglibible) Rear Tires - 215/50 = 21.23" rolling diameter (radius add to current is perfect arch-filling 1/2") Will the proposed configuration (a) look dumb? (b) noticeably affect handling? (c) other? In 4 years I've only put on 6,000 miles (weekend, fair-weather car only), so I'm not worried about having to do any kind of tire rotation. Thanks in advance for any comments. Brian |

your math is all wrong ..... recalculate with 2 sidewalls on each tire ...1 at the top and 1 at the bottom
