Wonder how that would look, regarding both the rims and tires... do you have any pictures you could upload or scan?

Could you get a farther shot too, so I can see how the tires go with the body? Wheels look pretty good...

Thanks a lot! Now I've gone from considering fifteens, to sizxteens...and now Seventeens???

No fitment problems? How about tracking with those wider tires?

Car handles great with my 225/50-16 Toyo proxies.....far better than stock tires were.

those are a set of AMG's..
fit the 123's, and my bro has a set on his '87 190D 2.5T.
AMG specs as well as the shoes on my wagon are 17x7.5 et35, and those are definitely as big as you can go.
running 215/45/17 all 'round, but would like to step to 225/45/17.
good luck.

ok here goes..

225/50-16 tires do not completely clear the front fender lips of a W123 when put on AMG Penta rims 16X7. Even with the fender lips rolled.

They do clear in the back.

So is there a big differance in diameter affecting the drive ratio? I'd like nicer wheels (I like yours a lot!) and want to get the effect of a 2.47 rear end in my 300CD.

alberta.. thanks.
the 17"s definitely add a few mph, but most notable is the overall handling.
absolutely the way to go.. corners smooth like the 123 should be.
check out the 'holy 2.47 sleeper' thread.
hope your runningthe hemp oil up in canada peace.

I have monoblock style wheels - they are 7.5x17 et is 25mm - they are made for the W123 and i have no problems with my set up...the rolling diameter is ~25" which is very close to the original OD with the 14's...

custom rack and pinion steering
45mm lowering springs
Bilstein HD's
and all new suspension
