Bunt depth:

If the car you are trying to put Bunt Rim own had steel rims you have to use shorter Wheel studs. The hitting you incountered was the stud hitting the emergency brake. And if you don't go shorter studs it will distroy your emergency brake and cost you some money.

That reminds me of a story I heard here, a member's daughter was driving the car and made a turn to wide which caused the car to hit a curb and blow the tire out. So she called her dad and he came to fix the car, he put the spare on but the car wouldn't move backward or forward. He called a tow truck and they drug the car up the flatbed with the wheel locked up the whole way. Soon there after he realized it was because the studs were to long....
