TIRE SIZE slk230 1998 went from p255/16 to p260/16 after 3 days car goes into limp home mode(2nd) gear , no dash lights telling of an error now wont shift at all how to reset problem with tranny would be my question, and would like to keep the large tires on the back with the least amount of gnashing of teeth.. tnx in advance!!

Your gonna have to put the correct size back on. Your problem is extreme, most pple complain about cruise control working improperly. Even the same tire size, but different tread patterns/different brands will cause problems.
