Thanks for the EXCELLENT info! I hope my W210 is the same as your car, you made it look easy! The strap assembly looks the same, except there is no pin to drive out, it is simply held to the door post with a Torx screw (bolt?). Maybe that's why the strap for my car cost $25 more than yours (certainly my dealer is not GREEDY or anything ).
