Hi!
I just hit a deer last night
and now I'm contemplating the feasibilty of keeping my 300D. A friend of mine just mentioned his desire to sell his Euro gasoline w123 1984 (i don't know what the model is named) for parts as his engine is seized up. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows enough about both types to know what is interchangible. If so would you please reply?
I'm sure I'll need a radiator and fan assembly, probably an oil cooler.
And I'm planning on using his hood and grill and headlight assemblies. Amazingly enough though I hit the deer going at least 50 mph I managed to avoid damaging either front fender. The hood is messed up enough that I can't open it yet. I have not had the chance to look too closely at the damage in the engine compartment.
Very soon after I hit the sucker I saw an autobody shop by the road. That's where the car is sitting now. Convienient for getting an estimate!
