I have recently purchased an 82 Mercedes 300TD and after replacing the rear end am now working on fixing the vacuum lines so I can turn it off without popping the hood. Immediately I found several problems but referencing the vacuum diagrams do not seem to match, or perhaps it is just me. Picture one circled white?????

Picture 2 .... What confuses me here is that all the diagrams and pictures I have found have this green (surge dampener vacuum (72) with a T coming out of the top of it. Mine has only one hose. That leads back into the central plug? I think. If the green surge dampener is sitting atop the Fuel injection pump I have a vacuum line that I have penciled in red that heads down then left to a T. It the comes back up attaches to a white clip and is disconnected. (white circle) It has a rubber sleeve with what appears to be a reduced sized plastic end coming out of the other end.
