czwbkx,

I have located it on the 400E and it is on the drivers side against the outside of the engine bay where it meets the front fender about half way between the headlight and windshield. It is a small round "fuse" looking thing that simply plugs into a socket with a single prong. The car is in storage right now as we are having a snow storm, but tomorrow I can get you the numbers from the top of the resistor. It sits between two "plugs" and above several others, all located on one "bank" of these type of "plugs".

I did remove mine for a short drive and there was no notable difference, but must also say it has a JET chip which might address the timing issue. I have emailed JET asking this question, but have no reply yet.

Let me know and I'll post the numbers from the top of the resistor for you to locate...it is quite easy. Also, is your 124 chipped? I'd be interested to see if a non-chipped car sees an improvement.

Let us know what you find!
