Who knows, who cares.

Do you have any idea how to do the base set-up and mixture setting after a distributor replacement. If not you now have atleast that problem plus the original one to deal with.

What is your system pressure?

No, I have no idea how to do the base set-up. Nor do I have any idea what the fuel pressure is since I do not have a pressure gauge.

I guess I was hoping that there were a limited number of very specific conditions or faults that would allow pressure at the inlet to the distributor, but no fuel at the injector lines.
