I recently changed my breather hose on a 1992 300D turbo and when I ordered it I was lucky because the guy ask me if I want the rubber o-ring also so I said yes. Who ever had the car before me run a regular rubber hose (which was held in place by electric tape from the vacuum hose) from the valve cover to the intake hose, so I did not know how the original looked like. After a few days I got a MB original plastic hose that is raped in a soft rubber and the o-ring. So I just inserted the rubber o-ring in the valve cover and after that I put some oil on the plastic hose end and I locked it in. Easy and painless and now my valve cover is oil free.
