I suspect the car was sideswiped some time ago but on the driver side. The car fax on this car does not indicate an accident but i think there is some evidence of body work. The PO always had it serviced at the dealer (for 20 years) so i imagine he would have taken it to a reputable body shop.

I used a digital laser-type thermometer on the hubs after highway driving and there was no significant variation in temperature between any of the wheels so I don't think the bakes are causing it.
