She's back on the road now. Including the reengineering/repair of the stupidly designed air cleaner mount, I have about 7 hours invested in replacing that exhaust gasket.
Anyone have any idea what this would have set me back in $$$ had I gone to an Indy?
One more thing...
While apart, I cleaned all the diesel plaque out of her intake tract and she certainly feels like she pulls better off idle now. Of course this scientific testing was all done 'off road'
because my über-cool EGR blocking plate was installed too. I expect there will be a commensurate decrease in performance when I return the car to its intended configuration.
