do a search on this topic...a number of us have experienced this. It's possibly the amp, or (as I was told once in here) potentially a throttle control needing adjustment.

My garage replaced the cruise control switch, which did nothing (although they swore it was defective). I'm in storage now, but plan to get it fixed when the snow melts.
