Lim - I just got off the phone with my mechanic about your problem and on whether its a good idea to lube the throttle linkage. He said its only 50-50 that may work. He however said its better not to try doing it as it may jam the cruise control and thus causing the brakes not to respond. He cited 2 cases of this happening, 1 at the highway where the cruise control refuse to disengage even when brakes were depressed; and 2. at C&C where his brother (a tech. there) had to turn of the ignition key and pull the car over.

I will however, still ask around as I am not familiar with this problem.
