I have no basis for fact here, but I got the impression that the GST might actually be built on the Pacifica platform.

Being an old MOPAR fan as well as a MB fan, the "Pacifica" was in development for a long time. After MB "merged" with Chrysler the Pacifica was sent back to the drawing boards because it had too many "unique" parts.

I just got the impression that the Pacifica platform became the basis for the Pacifica first, then the next generation Minivan (not yet introduced) and then the GST.

Y'all feel free to "jump all over me" if I am wrong.
