I am a republican and I do not fit your generalization at all. I thinks that renewable energy sources are a very important part of taking care of our future energy need. I also think that conservation is also a very important part. As far as nuclear power goues the new pebble bed reactors are very safe. I do not think that the world is a happy place that wishes us no ill either. I also do not think that military intervention in oil producing countries is a good idea either. But..

If we wish to continue living in a modern society that can produce the economic surpluses that most liberals are in favor of then it boils down to 2 choices:

1. Develop a program of NUCLEAR,RENEWABLES and CONSERVATION

2. FORCIBLY SECURE OUR OIL SUPPLY THROUGH MILITARY FORCE.

Pick either but be aware of the consequences of both.
