WVO Blending....

I am VERY new at the WVO idea, I have an almost endless supply of used motor oil and ATF. Plus a good supply of WVO..... Can I blend UMO or ATF with the WVO?

why put all that pioson in the air? the porpose that 99% of wvo'ers are trying to accomplish is cleaner air. burning plant oil simply releases the carbon that the plants absorbed while growing. used motor oil is carcenogenic. (cancer causing) recycle your used engine oil, but burn that WVO.

I would have a difficult time to think up a good reason to mix the three. I think any car running any more then 5% motor oil will be a stinky mess. Besides, the stuff is very dirty, if not hazzardous to your health and the health of your engine. Running more than 5% atf would be almost as bad, though not quite the nasty s--t to handle, but still difficult to remove from hands and clothing. I would say that if you have a good supply of WVO, run it clean and run it cold while the temperature is up over 60 F. If you have enough to run all year, add a heated system, spike it 1 quart of RUG to 5 gallons of WVO, add a little diesel if you like it.

I think #1 for most of us is saving a buck...every thing else is a perk.

The idea behind blending is to .."THIN THE OIL".. RUG works the best

You want a fuel blend that mimics the vicosity of diesel fuel. Engine oil or ATF will not get you there. Nor will diesel, although some blend with it anyway. Best bet is kerosene, but gasoline works ok in warm climates.

Thanks for the info. I was just asking, incase my WVO supply runs low.... I could have a few 100ed gals of ATF in a day or so.

i saw a guy who owned a jiffy lube and he had a mercedes diesel and that was all he ran his car off of was used motor oil... he was a little smoky but it worked just fine....dont let these guys discourage you....

I pour the oil i use from my 5 cars into my diesel... I put about a 2 liter bottle in per tank... works just fine... and I pour the used atf in as well...

You can blend 4-5 gal of ATF per tank full with no problem.Stay away from waist oil. Where did you get the ATF from? I have been trying to get some ATF. What part of the contry are you from?

I have a friend that owns a shop, all the free oil I want and about 10-15 gals of AFT a week as well. I'm eating lunch today with an old Airforce buddy that has 3 aamco trans shops. He has drums of ATF. I'm in Florida.

My car runs a lot quieter on an SVO blend. It also lubricates better. I think I am being nice to her.

I thought my 300sd was going to blow up the first time I ran straight diesel in it. Add a little wvo or bio and it runs quiet.So you can not tell me it is bad for it. I figure if I can drive this car for 2 years it will pay for itself from the savings from wvo. How many cars can pay for themselves? Every week when I dump 20 gal in-there is $60 I am not pulling out of my pockets. I LOVE IT.

i am even worse then you... I dump straight waiste oil into my tank...
and I change my oil once ever 20k miles wheither it needs it or not...
in fact its time for this years oil change... 268k miles and still running

BLUE RANGER--How fine do you filter the waist oil to-1 micron? Do you get a lot of smoke on waist oil?
