I use my dealer for parts, do most of the fluid changes myself...
Mercedes-Benz London is a very good dealer. I recommend them. Do you drive a 16V? Where you at the Import Fall Ontario Nationals at Sparta/St. Thomas Dragway on the 27th? Saw a mint 16V there, smoke silver, deep dishes and a momo steering wheel, impressed! You putting away your car this winter? See ya, Mike McKinney

Toronto Shop
Are you still looking for a good shop? For my car I use Lambton Auto Electric in Toronto near Royal York Road and Dundas. I went to them with a blower problem after researching the problem myself. In my discussions with them they new every possible problem area beforehand and were able to resolve the repair very quickly. They always seem to be busy and can seem less friendly than some but the work is excellent. I have heard from others that some westend dealers use them for difficult auto electric problems.

Henneken in Vancouver - scary story
I take my car in to look at heater which has stopped working. I was in Vancouver BC. Henneken Auto where this guy named Hans promises to look at the car.
$1500 to replace blower motor, a servo and something else. I decline. The next day I have a problem with my master cylinder. No power brakes. Scary. I get this replaced and the part looks odd. Like it is newer than it should compared to the rest of the engine. Today I check fuses, replace two and sure enough my heater is now fine. I know this guy tried to rip me off on the repair and I honestly believe he swapped out my good part for a faulty one. I am calling him and registering a complaint with the BBB. Stay away! |

I live near Vancouver and Henneken's is on my way home. They came well-recommended to me and I stopped in there shortly after buying my 16V last year (first Mercedes for me).
I wanted help with repairing my sunroof and troublesome power windows. I found they were a bit abrupt there, but they highly recommended a nearby glass and collision shop. The fellow there gave me a high estimate for the sunroof and insisted in replacing the motors in the doors. Still wouldn't work after that - I think it was a problem with the switches being gummed up with spilt coffee on the centre console or something like that. I go elsewhere, now. |

Victoria, BC, Canada - TC Motors
I have just had my car reviewed by TC Motors, 250-383-5944. While they are very busy, they do know their MB stuff. Several technical points were exactly as recommended by the techs on this site. My car was diagnosed, a couple of minor issues were repaired and every effort to check parts was performed. They don't just replace things until the problem goes away; they would rather solve the problem.
