din cable routing, dash unit to receiver '92 300sd

I have to replace the control cable between dash unit and trunk mounted receiver. I need suggestions and information:
1. Where is the cable routed, driver or passanger side.
2. What has to be removed to get access to the cable i.e. panels,
seats, carpets, center console etc. ?
3. Information on how to rmove the above items including any booby
traps.
