I've been listening to a lot of tapes these past few weeks. Yesterday, a long BEEP came out of my 95 280C tape player. I looked down, and there was a CLEAN message on the display. I don't know what kind of radio it is, it says' mercedes on it.
Anyone ever seen this before, and what do I use to clean it. I'm not going in there with q-tips!. Thanks

Dave: Yes, these have a way of monitoring the head cleanliness. Go to a radioshack or electronics store and buy a cassette head cleaner. They look like a cassette tape, and have a small bottle of cleaning solution that is applied to small felt tabs in the cassete. Insert the cleaning cassette, let it run for maybe 10 seconds, then push the button to change "sides" of the tape and let it run for another 10 seconds, then eject it, you're done.....Gilly
