s430 CD Changer Problem need help !!!!

So here is my issue I have a 2000 S430 and when I try to eject it wont come out. Has anyone came in to this issue? Is there something I need to do or do I need to replace it? if I need to replace it how hard is it and is there anything I need to know about doing the job. is it just a plug and play type of thing or am I going to have to tear the whole trunk apart. Thanks for help I look forward to reading your answers.

Is the CD changer working or what? I mean does it play? When you press the eject button, is the light blinking, or like the whole thing is dead?

the MB changers of that vintage are notorious for being persnickity with the
magazines. have you tried pressing the eject button while using your finger
to press the magazine around (side/up/down) ? that carrier mechanism rides
on rubber biscuits and sometimes a little misaligned, creating just enough
obstruction to prevent ejection. another magazine might be fine.

Changer Problem

Hi osyl2us,
The problem you are experiencing is very common. We have had to service 100's of them for the same problem. It requires multiple parts to be changed in the changer. It is repairable and the repairs that we have done seem to have little problem of reoccurance (other than normal wear). Contact me direct via the WEB site for further info.
