Two types of antenna grommet? Antenna Spanner Wrench
OK I'm at my wit's end.
From the posts that I've read there appear to be two types of antenna grommet. I've attached pics of mine (which is chrome) and this other type - which I gather is more common. I'm having the beast painted next week and I'll be damned if I'm going to mask the grommet. Apparently there is a special "antenna spanner wrench," that I'll need. Anyone used one of these or have a working alternative?

should be not tight, carefully fit two small blade screw drivers in slots, maintain pressure and slowly turn CCW. You can tape blade with electrical tape to avoid marring. Good Luck! Mine came off very easily, they are not supposed to be tight, just snug
