1995 e-300d-w124 antenna removal
I am a DIY newbee and would like any assistance with removing the antenna assembly so I can replace the mast or the entire power antenna assembly
Thanks Dennis |

You need to pull the trunk liner from the left side of the trunk, I find it easiest if you start by pulling the tabs above and below the taillamp forward and inward, then as you pull tuck the top down under the trunk spring & hinge, it will roll inward and out of the way.
The antenna assembly is held in place by the nut around the mast (top of the quarter-panel) and one bolt at the bottom of the motor assembly in the trunk. Three electrical connections are on the assembly: two antenna wires, and one power multi-plug, must be disconnected. The antenna assembly can be removed with the mast fully extended, but it is somewhat easier with the mast retracted. Simple as that.
