1988 300te

Hi guys,

I rescently bought a 1988 300TE Wagon and in a few months or so, i would want to look into upgrading the speaker system on it. I have never dealt with speakers before so im totally new.

Now, i tried the speakers and the bass on them is pretty low and the quality is not the best as they are pretty old speakers.

Now, all i need to do is just make the sound better, would just changing the speakers fix this? Or would i need to change the main cassette player because it lacks the power?

I would prefer to keep the main unit as it is because it looks nice with the car, but if the speakers wouldn't make it as i want it to sound, then yes i would be willing to change that. But obviously that increases the price by $100-200.
