My antenna goes down except the last 6". i think its needs a new mast. i tried to take the cover off but don't know why the "thing" holding it in is not a screw. the other 3 are normal screws. this last one is flat, almost like a nail head and its holding the cover on.

what's the deal ?

I just dealt with that last week. That is a little cap with the "H" Hirschman logo. It will pry off with a small flat blade screwdriver, and you will find a phillips head screw underneath. And..... It will just stick back on when you're done.
