OE Radios and fiber optics etc
I would like to use one of the newer MB OEM radios in my '90.
If I have this staright- the radios from '94-98 are one type of fiber opitc setup, while those after are another type. The only kind that interest me are those that fit the standard DIN hole, of course. Can someone explain to me the following: What fits the older (pre '94 cars) can the older cars be retrofitted to accept the newer style CD changer? Can I purchase the wire harness seperately? Thanks.

I have a cassette Becker head and CD changer from a '93 190E in the shop, doesn't need anything special as far as optics etc. My '91 300TE had an external amp and subs, might be that you're looking for a premium system from a 190E.

I prefer the updated style, with the weather band.
I think those start in '94.
