Question '99 SL500 radio question

The little volume nob and all the buttons on this radio seem to work intermittantly. Is there anything you can do to clean the dirt out from behind the buttons, if that is the issue? Thanks for your help in advance!

Smile Answered my own inquiry

As I suspected, there must have been dust in the contact points behind the buttons. I took a shop vac with the round dusting attachement (the one with the black brush-like ring), and ran it over the face of the radio several times. I haven't driven the car anywhere since, but I did try several of the buttons and the volume knob, and they all seem to be working fine now. I did the same thing to the buttons on the climate control head for good measure. Cleanliness counts!
