Any MB dealer can give you the information you need with your VIN number, you may have to provide proof of ownership(Registration).

Is the radio asking for the code, or does it not work at all--meaning it does not power up?

Have you checked owners manual for procedure for entering the code?

Whether you contact a MB dealer or an independent MB shop you will need proof of registration and a drivers license. I had to go through this a few weeks ago for a new ignition key lock assembly. It's a security thing.

Question

Thanks for the reply all... Also sorry for posting in the wrong forum...Yes it asks for the key. I put the key that the dealer gave me when I bought the car in and it says wait. I called my MB dealer and they gave me the same code. ???

Radio installation

If your radio says "wait" it is because you tried to many times with the code unsuccessfully. You need to power up the radio so it says "wait" and in about an hour it will again say "code" you then enter the code

Radio installation

when I put in the code (it says "code") the first number begins to blink and nothing happens. If I try to turn on the radio it clears the code numbers and again says "code". Is there a secret button or something?

Code Question

Please send me the code they gave you and I will compare it with the one I got for you. E-Mail it please. Thank you.
