new radio for c280
I would like to replace the stock head unit that's in my 1994 C280.
I was wondering if there are any other MB CD or CD/tape head units that would work with my system? Also, my head unit has the *CD* button on it so I assume this is for a changer and if I remember correctly, I've seen a wire in the trunk that might be for a changer. Is there a particular MB model of changer that I would need? Ideally, I would rather get an MB CD in the head unit. I haven't been able to find a compatible stereo or adapter for my wiring on places like Crutchfield.com for a another brand system and I didn't want to monkey with a lot of rewiring. If I could just pull the old MB tape deck unit out, put in a new MB CD unit and be done, then that would be great. Simplest route would be best. Thanks. |

call becker i believe there is an MB CD headunit available for your car. you may also be able to adapt an alpine cd changer for use in your car with an adapter cable (about $60).
http://www.pie.net/oemappl.htm#mb the changer is probably the most cost effective. you can get those changers at circuit city for about $200. http://www.beckerautosound.com
