1995 C280 won't take the radio code.

I have "CODE" in the display and I enter the correct code, 12111, after which the first 1 starts flashing. I press the SC button and nothing happens, I press seek and "CODE" is back in the display. Is this radio toast?

Have you used the code successfully before? If not, it could be a replacement radio and you need to find out the correct code based on the radio's serial number.

Code was gotten from the numbers on the radio at the dealer.
