Today as I was backing out of a parking lot my antenna hit a tree branch. Ouch! The result: the "inverted Y" or protective sleeve in the antenna broke off. The antenna still works but, it is not going all the way down. To make the story short. Does anyboby have this part available? May be a broken antenna or a place where I can get this part only. All the part places I know will sell you the mast and/or the whole antenna only. Not individual parts.
All suggestion would be appreciated! ------------------ J.H. '86 300E |

I do not think I made myself clear. This protective sleeve or "inverted Y" is the connection between the antenna mast and the body of antenna motor enclosure(not the body of the car). You can only see from inside the trunk. The antenna mast itself is fine.

OK... unless you can refabricate this, I think you're gonna have to go for a new arial, I still dont know which bit you're talking about I'm afraid.
