Got the Becker CD changer installed. The CD changer is sitting in the rear right pocket in the trunk with padding around it to avoid any vibration. Works fine. Want to know where exactly is the changer supposed to mount? I have custom brackets from autoys.com but don't know what to do with them. Looked through previous posts but never could figure it out. Was I supposed to drill holes in the metal plate that is next to the battery? The two holes that are already there don't fit any of the brackets.

get the factory bracket and the holes will line up. the bracket will also include a stud that will go through a hole for a nut on the same side as the battery. you also need to get the factory fabric "shell" that fits around the changer. you dont need to remove the panel to do this. get the factory stuff. it wont be that expensive and it will fit right.

I'm confused... my Mercedes dealer parts guy told me today that the factory mounting bracket will only work if I get their official Mercedes CD changer, otherwise it's too big for anything else. Has anyone actually used the factory bracket sucessfully with the Becker Silverstone 2660 deck?
