124 front speaker removal
i read the DIY piece by JCE. is it pretty much the same for later model years? i am about to go in there to jiggle & clean the connectors on account of erratic sound from tht corner...

Yes, it is identical jsmith. I just replaced these speakers last night in my '95, so I know!
![]() Be extra careful when prying up the plastic strips that hide the screws for the grill. Like the article says, better to break or mangle the plastic strip than your dash! And a very thin screwdriver makes all the difference. I even used the end of a dull pocket knife to aid in the prying - worked well. Good luck! - Ryan
