BECKER 1432 problem

I have a 91 560 SEC with a 1432 Becker. The radio lights up when the power button is pressed, but there is no display shown. After about 5 seconds, it shuts off again. It's not a code issue. Could it be the receiver in the trunk?
Has anyone had experience with this system? It has 4 parts, including the head unit, (dash) receiver (trunk) and 2 amps (trunk).
Your insight will be appreciated - I have no sound!
