Antenna motor is blowing "C" fuse

I recenty replaced the antenna mast on my 124. Since then the motor will continue to run intermittantly when the mast is either extended or contracted. I believe the motor is overloading the circut and then blowing the "C" fuse which renders, among other things, my radio useless.

Last night I dismantled the motor casing and inards hoping to find a short. No such luck. I cleaned applicable areas with contact cleaner, vacuumed the board and reinstalled.

Any other ideas???
