92 500e radio died..diagnosis?

Suddenly went dead - head unit seems to display fine - will change cd's, channels etc. But button push only elicits a "buzz" sound. Fiddling with fader switch does nothing.

Is not the tuner actually in the right side wall of the trunk? Is this the likely culprit? Any tricks like fuse etc?

Any help appreciated.
