Available

Hi spinedoc,
Just to let you know I have replacement ones available. Also while you have the speaker enclosure out drill a 1/4 " hole in the bottom of it so that the water will drain out and not soak into the speaker as I am sure yours have. Give me a call and I will confirm stock and pricing.

Hi Cleeve, I keep meaning to call you but I am swamped at work and by the time I realize I have to call you its either to late, or its in the morning and the time zone diff. doesnt allow me. I would like to order 2 of these.

I wanted to make sure they needed replacement though. The one on the left works ok, except at high volumes it seems to clip, the bass will be kind of a loud click every so often. On the right it does not work at all, I pulled the door and am getting 6v going to the speaker, and I can see the speaker vibrate just a tiny bit, but no sound.

Please confirm that these need replacement. I will try and call this evening.

Speakers

Hi spinedoc,

It seems that you have done the homework needed. If you have the voltage at the speaker but little or no sound then the speaker is bad. As for the other one cliping on high volume, that sounds like the cone is warped. Thus, it seems that replacement of both speakers is needed. Be sure to put the drain hole in the enclosures. I have the speakers in stock and can ship whenever you want. Please give me a call and we will get these to you.
