Radio refit C class

Could someone be kind enough to run me through the necessary steps to replace the radio on my 1998(W202) C class please.

I have the two keys & am competant to do the job.

Currently have Blaupunkt what are current good reliable makes
please?

The 2 keys are identical. On one side of each key is "left" and the other side "right" (on some keys this is in German, "links"="left", "rechts"="right"). Insert either one of the keys into the right slot (in the lower right corner) with "right" facing UP, and the other key into the left slot with "left" facing up. Slide them in until you hear them click into place, then simply pull outwards on the heads of the keys to remove the radio, then disconnect you wiring. Once removed, just push in on the retaining tab on the side of the radio to remove the keys.

Excellent thank you Gilly. I am always wary of starting jobs that I am not totally sure about, especially when there is an electrical aspect involved.

One other thing I thought of is that after the keys are removed, the radio, after the electrical connections are back in place, is just pushed into the hole in the dash until it clicks into place.
