the windows on my 380 se are covered with caked on spots ive tried every thing to get them off even a razor the car sat on a lot for a good while the spots look like an accumilation of a bout a years worth of dirty rain i havent gotten drastic yet ( acid wipe ) but its getting to that point please help thank you

Try Bon Ami. You can find it at the grocery store. It's used for cleaning pots & pans.

Actually it should *polish* the glass. I've heard of someone using rubbing compound on their windows. Remember how hard it is to scratch glass.

While you're doing the windows, perhaps try the Bon Ami on some of the more clouded bright metal trim. I've been tempted to try Bon Ami or another brand of supermarket type bright metal cleaner on mine but haven't had the opportunity yet.

One word of caution: if you do go with the acid wipe, I'd use either vinegar or dilute muriatic acid and keep it well away from the bright metal trim. I'm still not sure whether the stuff is clearcoated, but I think even HCl fumes might cloud them.

it did the trick no more spots but i'll wait for one of you to do the bright work with it and tell of the results ( scaredy cat )
