I have a silver 1993 190E 2.6 which has, what appears to be, water stains all over the hood of the car. When washed they reduce, but can still be seen. When waxed, they reduce some more but are still visible. They get progressively worse the longer the car is unwashed. Any idea what I could use to get rid of them as far as possible.
I also have concentrated small white bubble-like 'blisters' in patches on the hood and some on the top of the car as well. Looks like clear coat damage or possibly paint. Any idea how to reduce these?? Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Nikhil |

Sounds like acid rain water spotting to me.
Try some Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover and then Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze. For best results apply with a buffer. It may take several applications. Finish with a coat of Meguiar's #26 Hi Tech wax. For more info read Lee's Detailing FAQ in the Do It Yourself section. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC |

Couldn't of said it better myself...
Only note is that Meguiars Gold Class seems to last longer against outdoor stresses and whatnot better than the #26 but both are outstanding choices. Dont forget to check out the Detailing FAQ. Let me know if you don't get the results you are looking for and we'll take it from there. Hope this helps...Lee |
