W210 Front Seat Cushions

Hello All,
This is my first post on this forum. I've read this now for several months and learned quite a bit about my 1996 E320. Quick question: are the front seat bottoms interchangeable? The driver side is worn and the passenger side is in great shape. I would like to change them and put the passenger side on the driver side and vise versa. Is this possible? Thanks. By the way, I learned about my defective head gasket ( I was leaking a great deal of oil) and front spring perches (they were pulling away from the chassis) from this forum: both issues were addressed.

Are you asking if the cover material, leather, is interchangeable, or if the whole bottom frame, cushion rail is interchangeable?

I did a seat material, MBtex cover change, on my C230 driver seat and it is intensive work to pull and exchange two seat cover materials.

I found it difficult to remove the original material where it tuck-in's on the seat edge without tearing. Tho have read of plenty of post of people doing it while adding heating elements.

If I had to do it over again I would not only have purchased a new MB-tex cover but also the foam-cork filling. Amazingly after nearly 100K miles the seat cushion is in very good shape with adaquate support, but while I had it appart I should have renewed the filling.

Don't know if the frame is interchangeable, but doubt it.
