Fix for cloudy trim found
It's not perfect, but I have found that applying 'black magic' (designed for restoring black trim) will make the cloudiness mostly disappear. I’m not sure how long it will last, but at least it looks better for now.
Untreated on left, black magic on right:

I do the same thing. It works on most of my trim, but not all. It's still a bit cloudy looking on the really bad spots.
Aerokroil on a rag also works. Both only last through one or two rains and only one washing. Black shoe polish works WAY better on the bumpers than the Black Magic.

I use the black magic on my mirrors and such. My bumpers have black paint on them.

Best overall car trim and multi-surface restorer I've found is Turbo Cut by WizardsProducts.com applied with a variable speed buffer, using a wool/polyester pad.
Works nearly permanent restoration magic on sun damaged parts. |

Joe, are you talking about the aluminum trim, the rubber trim, or both?

Anyone ever tried Wenol polish for this? I've tried various degrees of metal polish and none of them were rated for stainless steel, so none of them were ago.

The only thing that is stainless on these cars is the trim along the body sides, every thing else is anodized aluminum or chrome(bumpers and grille shell)
Best way to polish the stainless is to remove them and polish with a polishing wheel and compound.

I've tried Wenol. While I LOVE it in the kitchen, I think its base is too solvent for the chrome and I think it exacerbated cloudiness/oxidization.

I'm going to try that on mine. It can't hurt, that's for sure. Thanks for posting this.
